Initial consultation (20 minutes)
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation as an opportunity for you to share the concerns you have about your child and ask questions about my approach to make sure I’m the right person to meet their needs. We can also ensure that we are aligned on scheduling and fees. After the consult, we can schedule an initial intake/assessment appointment and I will email you the new client paperwork to complete prior to the appointment. If I determine after the consult that your child’s needs are outside my scope of expertise, I will provide you with referrals to other providers.
$300
Intake/assessment (80 minutes)
During the initial intake/assessment appointment we will be laying the groundwork for our work together. I will meet with you and your child together and also spend time with your child one-on-one if you both are comfortable. We will review my office policies and the paperwork you completed prior to the appointment to ensure that all your questions are answered. We can get into more detail about what you are seeking support with, what’s going well for your child and what isn’t quite working, and what your goals for therapy are.
$200
Regular sessions (50 minutes)
Ongoing weekly sessions can take place via telehealth or in person in my office. I’m also able to offer sessions at other locations - out in the community, at local parks, on set, etc. I will build a compassionate therapeutic relationship with your child while we work together to improve symptoms and bring about change. Since I’m all about kids, we will also make sure we are leaving time to be silly, play games, move our bodies, and have some fun!
Insurance
I am not currently an in-network provider with any insurance company.
I can provide a Superbill upon request which you may be able to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement if you have OON (out of network) benefits. You will need to contact your insurance company and inquire as to your OON benefits, mental health coverage, and your deductible to determine if you are eligible for reimbursement for your out of pocket costs. Please note that I will be required to provide a mental health diagnosis for your child on a Superbill. I also cannot guarantee that your health insurance company will provide any reimbursement for my treatment services.
Reduced fee
I maintain a limited amount of reduced-fee slots in an effort to ensure that quality mental healthcare is accessible despite the presence of financial barriers. These rates are reserved for those who are uninsured, under-insured, or experiencing financial hardship. Please contact me to inquire about the availability of reduced fee slots.
Victims of Crime
I am an approved provider with the California Victim Compensation Board (CalVCB).
If you, your child, or a member of your family have been the victim of a crime, you may be eligible for compensation from CalVCB. Crimes involving physical injury, threat of physical injury, death, and (in some cases) emotional injury are considered when applying for compensation. This can include:
Child abuse
Child sexual assault
Child endangerment and abandonment
Domestic violence
Hate crimes
Hit & run
Human trafficking
Assault with a deadly weapon
Battery
Murder
Compensation from CalVCB can include reimbursement of up to $10,000 for mental health services that are not covered by your health insurance. If you have filed an application with CalVCB and have been approved for mental health services, I can bill CalVCB directly for your child’s mental health treatment. Please contact me to discuss your situation.
